ON THE ROAD
In the 90’s before cell phones, touring bands had to find creative ways to stay occupied during travel days and on long drives in between gigs. For Morphine, that meant painting watercolors, drawing, taking photographs, and sometimes bringing along a super 8mm camera to pass the time.
This exhibition offers a behind-the-scenes look into Morphine’s tours to Europe and Japan from 95-97. You’ll find art and photographs taken from planes, trains and automobiles. Depictions of the less glamorous side of touring. Images and art from their days off. Mark’s personal tour books and passes. His preoccupation with time. Set lists from their gigs in Japan and more.
Many surprises await as you navigate this exhibit.
